About

My Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis in 2013 (aged 22) came as a shock and I am now determined to raise as much awareness as I can for MS and other invisible illnesses. As well as sharing thoughts, ideas, help and tips.

I also wish to raise funds for the support that the MS Society provide. They need fundraising to help run their support lines and fund essential research into the disease.

I speak from personal experience when I say that after diagnosis, their helplines and literature were exactly what I needed to help me cope and I hope that their scientific research may lessen the effects on the disease as I grow older.

I have already raised over £500 at work for this cause and I hope to continue this.

Have a read, contribute and get involved. Worrier vs Warrior 💪

  1. So glad I found your blog. I have ms too (I was diagnosed in 2006 when I was 25 – I’m now 34). After my diagnosis I spent 7 years with a man ashamed of my illness (although he was very kind to me) and this really enabled me to bury my head in the sand for a very long time. We split up in November 2014 and it’s almost like now the ms diagnosis is finally hitting me and I’m finally accepting it. This obviously is very stressful. I’m currently suffering with anxiety and depression quite badly but I refuse to be beaten. I’m contemplating starting my own blog too soon to help me process everything. Until then I’m happy to read the blogs of others. You keep fighting girl!! Xx

  2. Hi Rachel,

I’ve just found your blog. I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS this week and just reading about your experiences is really helpful. So much to think about and decisions to make regarding treatment.
Your posts and vlogs are very inspiring, keep going! 🙂

    1. Hi Emily,

Thank you for your kind words!

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but welcome to the warrior community ❤ I know it's all so much to take in to begin with, but just take each day as it comes 🙂 If you need any advice or information, speak up – there's always people to help!
